Feedomatic Vermin-Resistant Treadle Feeders

Feedomatic Vermin-Resistant* Treadle Feeders - 5kg, 8kg or 12kg capacity feeders.

These Galvanised Metal Treadle Feeders for Poultry are available in 3 sizes and will hold approx. 5kg, 8kg or 12kg of pelleted feed. Suitable for small flocks of chickens as width will only allow one or two birds to feed at a time.

A simple idea, the chickens stand on the green plastic mesh grid and the flap opens to reveal the food.

This all-weather galvanised and plastic feeder cannot usually be operated by vermin (they aren't heavy enough to trigger the opening of the feed trough), and it also cannot be operated by smaller wild birds so huge feed savings can be made.

Tough green plastic hopper lid, plastic treadle and plastic trough. Requires some self-assembly to put the treadle in place but no tools are needed.

*Please note that when described as Vermin-Resistant - this is resistant i.e. making it more difficult for vermin to access the feed trough. It does not mean the most determined large rats would not try to chew their way in so, we recommend working to rid your area of rats as the most effective answer. The lack of spilt feed will also deter them.  We refer to rats and mice as vermin, not squirrels, who are not (mostly) considered to be vermin. Squirrel damage/chewing is not covered by the 1-year warranty.

The weight of the 5kg feeder itself is 5.5kg, the 8kg feeder is 7kg, the 12kg feeder is 9kg.

5kg size Measures: 28cm wide x 23cm deep (excl. treadle) x 38cm high. The depth, front to back, is 48cm with the treadle in position. Capacity approx. 5kg layers pellets. Width of the feed trough is 26cm (10 inches).

8kg size Measures: 28cm wide x 23cm deep (excl. treadle) x 44 cm high. The depth, front to back, is 48cm with the treadle in position. Capacity approx. 8kg poultry layers pellets. Please note the width of the feed trough is approx 26cm (10 inches).

12kg size Measures: 35cm wide x 24cm deep (excl. treadle) x 48cm high. Depth front to back (incl treadle) is 49cm. Holds approx. 12kg layers pellets. Width of the feed trough is approx 33cm (13 inches). PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DIMENSIONS BEFORE PURCHASE, THIS IS A LARGE FEEDER.
