  • Extra saucer included, to swap out for quick and easy maintenance.
  • Pigmented plastic blocks light to prevent algae growth.
  • UV-stable, winter-proof materials for year-round use.
  • Durable brass valve and silicone seals for a long-lasting, leak-free performance.

Finally, a drinker that can be cleaned out and filled easily!

Finally, I thought, something that the chickens can't refuse to agree is a Good Thing. The rollaway nest boxes were a disaster, most refused to use them and those that did figured out how to retrieve their eggs and sit on them. Broody so-and-sos. But a drinker, that's different. Who can refuse water. Well, they can! Probably my fault for leaving the old one in the run until it was empty.
But sod the chickens, this one is for the benefit of the humans! The old one had such a narrow opening that not only was it hard to pour a bucket of water in, it was impossible to clean out. But this one has a much wider opening so much easier to not miss when pouring the water in (no hose pipe here. When we converted the barn we were on a water meter and I knew if I put an outside tap in I would go bankrupt with those wasteful builders cleaning out their cement mixers!). And being able to get it apart to give it a good scrub means cleaner water for the chickens and the goose that thinks it is a chicken.
I am sure they will get used to clean water. Won't they?
