Mixed Poultry Grit - 1.5kg pouch, 5kg bag or 25kg sack. An all-in-one Grit for all kinds of laying birds.

You may have heard - hen's teeth are rare! Very rare, because of course they simply don't have any.

Therefore, they need a supply of small stone fragments (preferably flint, an insoluble grit, because it is sharp) to grind down their food, which they do in their gizzard.

Oystershell is necessary (a soluble grit) to help poultry get a plentiful supply of calcium which they need to produce good egg shells.

If your birds are free ranging and forage far and wide they will probably pick up enough grit but, if confined, they would need a supply. This you can give by scattering it on the ground or putting in a small grit feeder hung on their run.
