Barrier Red Mite Concentrate, 500ml bottle. An on-Bird Red Mite Repellent Liquid.

Barrier Red Mite Concentrate is a plant-based insect repellent designed for direct application to poultry, helping to deter Red Mite, lice, fleas and ticks.

Formulated with a blend of herbal and essential oils, including Eucalyptus and Peppermint, this concentrated liquid is diluted with water before being applied directly to birds using a trigger sprayer.

Ideal for routine preventative use or when an infestation is present, it offers two dilution strengths depending on your needs. The manufacturer also states that the formulation does not taint eggs.

Unlike Barrier Red Mite Xpel, which is designed specifically for treating poultry housing, Red Mite Concentrate is intended for use directly on the birds themselves.

As Red Mite are most active at night, application just before dusk is recommended. See Application Tab.

For existing infestations, the manufacturer recommends repeating treatment after 5 days, with further applications as necessary. Always follow the product label for treatment intervals.

Do not use alongside chemical-based pest treatments unless compatibility has been confirmed by the manufacturer.

Directions for Use:

• Shake well before diluting and apply the diluted solution evenly to the birds, avoiding their eyes.
• Routine maintenance: Dilute 1 part concentrate with 50 parts water (1:50).
• Existing infestation: Dilute 1 part concentrate with 20 parts water (1:20).
• Use approximately 5–10ml of diluted solution per adult bird. Apply sparingly to smaller birds and do not use on chicks under 7 days old.

Contains: Herbal and essential oils, including Eucalyptus and Peppermint.

Active ingredient: Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil, Hydrated, Cyclized (0.70% w/w).

Storage & Shelf Life: Keep the container tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and freezing temperatures. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Precautions: For use only as an insect repellent. Do not use near foodstuffs, eating utensils or food contact surfaces. Wash hands and exposed skin after use and before meals. Keep out of reach of children and dispose of the container in accordance with local regulations.

Important: Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use and follow all instructions and precautions.
