Brown Butterfly Poultry Saddles

Fitting this saddle to my struggling little hybrid hen, Kitty, was tricky, even after dark, but once on, the saddle fitted very well and Kitty adapted to it straight away. Now two weeks later, the saddle is still in place, and Kitty is protected not only from Gus the cockerel's claws , but also all the rain we're having at the moment. What's more, she looks very stylish and has continued to lay well.

Very good would buy again ! Fits very well and does the job, suitable for large bird as suggested. Has not fallen off or caused bird any distress. Only negative is which is kind of expected, the fabric is very stiff for a while.

Their customer care was good but they witheld their number and did not leave a message on my answerphone which held up my instructions. I also thought the instructions in the leaflet were not full, as I am new to saddles for hens and they did not mention where the Velcro went which I thought they should. Quality of product excellent Once I figured out what the Velcro was for I was quite happy and so were my hens. I do feel you should be specific in fitting as this is the first time I have had to use them. I am very pleased with them and they were recommended by a member of the Buff Orpington Club.

Quick service and fits well. Hen does manage to wriggle out of it so I need to adjust it. Great little jacket. Colour coordinated!

Friendly when you call - speedy when you order - and products are reliably good. Bit fiddly to fit and was not quite sure what to do with the velcro - so called the company for advice. Saddle stays put on one hen but the other two hens seem to make the butterflies turn up at the edges. Not sure how long they will protect them from the cockerel so am keeping them seperate for a few more days to see if the butterfly parts will settle down to the shape of the hen.

This is an excellent company, very prompt service, return of post speed. Not too pricey either! Not as I thought, I thought they may be padded. The chickens hate them, but they will have to get used to them! Saving their skin so they do the job.

supplied quickly. not such a comfortable fit as the side of the saddle turn in exposing the flank but hopefully it provides enough protection from the cockerel.

Very informative site for the average 'backyard' chicken keeper. Fitting instructions provided and tips to avoid 'hitch hikers', which was something that I had not thought about, again, plenty of essential information given.

Although am still waiting for advice information as to how to use saddle for my hen. Came with no instructions. No instructions as to how to put on the hen.

Friendly service Good quality product but unfortunately didn't solve our problem. The saddle didn't cover the hen's sides which were getting injured by the cockerel, so not been able to use.
