Easy to install, the External ChickBox is the answer if you are looking for an externally mounted nesting box with rear access - allowing easy external egg collection without entering the hen house.
The ChickBox Hen Nest Box fits onto the wall of hen houses and chicken coops. Full instructions for installation included plus video above. Some DIY required.
One of the major benefits of the Chick Box is in fighting red mite, disease and bacteria in the nesting area. As the main box is a single moulding, there are none of the cracks and crevices that often become sources of disease and bacteria.
The box can easily be removed from the wall of your hen house/coop if required. The perch and roll out tray can also be removed from the box, making cleaning the nest box incredibly easy.
Installation requires some DIY ability to cut a hole in your shed with dimensions of 325mm x 395mm, then screw the flange in place, insert the nest box to be flush with the wall of the coop. Put the rollaway tray in place and its ready to use.
Dimensions (all external): 33cm wide; 39cm high; 35cm deep, front drop down bar extends a further 23cm from the front.
