Gaun Large Plastic Tripod Drinker
Gaun Plastic Tripod Drinkers - 20 litre, 30 litre, 40 litre. Large capacity poultry drinkers for flocks of 20+ hens.
Gaun Tripod Poultry Drinker, with blue tripod stand and white tank.
Suitable for all kinds of poultry, waterfowl and game birds.
Tripod Drinkers are great for larger flocks of poultry as the drinking saucer always stays filled from the tank above.
Suitable for flocks of 20+ birds.
This easy to fill drinker has a raised drinking saucer, which means there is less chance of contamination from the birds, therefore the drinking water will stay fresh. The dome shape of the tank also means the birds can't perch on it and contaminate the water from above.
PLEASE CONSIDER DIMENSIONS BEFORE PURCHASE (THIS IS A LARGE DRINKER).
Capacity: 20 litres (4.5 gallons). Dimensions: 36cm dia. x 62cm high (14in wide x 24in high)
Capacity: 30 litres (6.5 gallons). Dimensions: 36cm dia. x 76cm high (14in wide x 30in high)
Capacity: 40 litres (9 gallons). Dimensions: 36cm dia. x 83cm high (14in wide x 33in high)
Some self assembly required. As a guide: allow 3 litres per day for 10 hens.
How it works: Slide the blue ring down the outlet tube to cover the outlet hole; fill the tank from the top, screw the top cap back on tightly enough for the tank to be airtight (but not so tight it damages the cap or tank).
Raise the blue ring to allow the water to come out of the hole; once the water level in the saucer covers the hole, the water will stop flowing and a vacuum is created in the tank. As the hens drink the water it will be replenished in the saucer.
If you find the water overflows then it is usually because the tank is not airtight. This can be solved by checking the screw cap and perhaps smearing some vaseline inside the cap seal (sometimes this is needed with new tanks until they 'bed in').
Standard delivery via courier is next working day to most mainland UK destinations for orders placed before 2pm (excl. weekends and bank holidays).
