Double Insulated Lead-out Cables

10m roll (32 ft) of Double Insulated HT Lead-Out Cable from Hotline. It has a 1.6mm steel core to carry the power from the mains unit to the fence line and/or the earth stake, or to interconnect several earth stakes when making longer electric fence systems.

It is not ideal to make joins in a length of HT cable as this can reduce conductivity, however, if this is unavoidable and it needs to be joined we suggest the Hotline Waterproof Cable Connector.

HT cable can be used under gateways on its own or preferably when passed through conduit/plastic piping. Insulated to 18,000v.

To connect a mains energiser to the fence and also to the earth stake you need single core lead out cable. Also used to take power across gateway, underground, or to connect a series of earth stake for longer electric fences.

The Insulated cable can be buried under the surface of the ground, ideal for under gateways, or it can be passed through conduit/plastic piping for extra protection and to prevent vermin chewing away at the cable covering.

The Hotline Waterproof Cable connector is a special connector for high voltage cable so can be used for connecting Single Core HT Lead Out cable without loss of current.

We usually advise that double insulated lead-out cable cannot be joined along a length because there is too much danger of leakage, or water getting into a joint but now, this handy little joiner will help to reduce that.

When your cable is only 25 metres long and you need it to cover 30 metres, it is frustrating having to buy a 50m cable, which then leaves you with 20 metres you don't need.

This joiner will give you efficient splicing for lead out cable if you wish to take power for longer distances or extend existing lead out cable.
