Chick Box Rollaway Nest Box & Trays

Plastic insert nest box tray to suit Chickbox Rollaway Nest Box, or to use with your own nest boxes. (The Chickbox Nest Box comes with one of these trays as standard)

These rollout nest bottoms can be used not only to prevent egg-eating but also for improved hygiene and speed up egg collection. They also keep the eggs cleaner as they roll away on being laid.

The opaque plastic flap (included) prevents any egg pecking. It is suitable for all breeds and savings can be made on bedding materials and cleaning time.

Overall length: 43cm, overall width 32cm. Width when side flaps folded up 27cm. tray is 8cm deep. The nest 'well' itself is 22cm wide x 29cm long.

The CHICKBOX is a plastic freestanding or mountable nest box for chickens. Available in Brown or Green.

A very practical idea to save broken eggs and therefore prevent egg eating, as well as being a useful way of converting a shed or outbuilding for use as a hen house. We would suggest allowing one nest box per 4 birds.

These sturdy plastic nest boxes from BEC are able to slot together, side by side, to make a wall of several boxes. Or, with instructions provided, a frame can be built to house the boxes off the ground.

You can close them up at night to prevent overnight roosting, which fouls them, and then during the day the front drops down and a plastic cover (not shown here) covers the tray holding the eggs and therefore stopping and egg-eaters getting at the eggs.

Every Chick Box comes with a black plastic rollaway insert tray with plastic cover so they are easy to keep clean and, being plastic, the whole unit can easily be washed. Very adaptable boxes, they can also be used as normal nest boxes without the rollaway inserts if required.

Measurements (all external): 33cm wide; 39cm high; 35cm deep, front drop down bar extends a further 23cm from the front. The box is shaped and does narrow towards the back where it measures 29cm wide x 35cm high.

From BEC is an Externally-mounted version of the ChickBox Hen Nest Box to fit into the wall of hen houses and chicken coops. Full instructions for installation included plus video below.

Easy to install the new External ChickBox is the answer if you are looking for a nesting box with rear access - allowing easy external egg collection without entering the hen house.

The External ChickBox has all the benefits of the indoor version. The fold up perch bracket is used to block access to the nest box when necessary and egg collecting is done externally using the lockable door. Includes insert tray with cover.

Installation requires some DIY ability to cut a hole in your shed with dimensions of 325mm x 395mm, then screw the flange in place, insert the nest box to be flush with the wall of the coop (screws not included). Put the rollaway tray in place and its ready to use.
