DESCRIPTION

The Chambord Wooden Bat Roosting House is equipped with an extended ridged backboard, allowing the bats to climb in and roost more easily.

Can be installed on a house or tree, as high as possible to encourage the bats to see it as a safe place. Site the bat box in a sheltered, area, protected from the wind, with a clear flight path to the box.

Providing a purpose-made Bat Box will help the bats in your area find a safe place to roost, which is much needed throughout the year. This solid wooden bat box provides good insulation, a ridged entry and roosting wall and very easy access through a 20mm slot across the bottom of the box.

Dimensions: 42cm high x 28cm wide x 7cm deep externally overall. Includes rawlplugs and screw fixings.

Guidance to site your Bat Box: Place your Bat Box free from obstructions, like trees and fences, to give at least 20ft of clear open space around the box. This will allow the bats to locate the house and easily fly in and out of it. Place it on a building or barn at least 15ft high if possible and facing southeast for maximum exposure to sunlight. Correct placing of your bat box will determine its internal temperature and this is important to avoid large changes in temperature.
