Day One - Silver Medal for Flyte so Fancy We won a medal ! !
On the first day of Bath & West Show 2010 Flyte so Fancy were awarded a Silver Medal in the Best Agricultural Trade Stand Category. A big thank you to all involved in making our first day so successful, all the Flyte so Fancy staff have worked so hard, and long hours, to get us to the show and they deserve a big pat on the back (and cake! - they love cake!)
Here is Phillip proudly showing off our Silver Medal Certificate ....
We had a wonderful first day, lots of visitors to our stand and our new Gypsy Hen House has been a tremendous hit, drawing gasps of wonder and so many compliments from visitors. Many people, non-chicken keepers even, just stopped to take a photograph.
Do come along and chat to Phill or Linda, or have a look at the selection of products at the stall and talk to Lizzy & Jessica.

Day Two - so many compliments Day Two was really hot but we are so lucky to be in a shady part of the show. We have met many old friends at the show, and made some new ones too, but we must thank everyone for their lovely comments about the houses and about Flyte so Fancy.
"There are alot of hen houses at the Show this year, I come every year, but yours is the best by far ... ... Jim W. Bath
"It is hard to tell the quality on the web, but when you see the houses at the show the quality shines out" ... ... Mrs McLean, Warminster.
"My husband is going to buy me the Gypsy Willow for Christmas, he just doesn't know it yet ..." ... ... Jane, Bucks.
"Everything seems so professionally done, I feel I should pay for this brochure, it is lovely." ... ... Christine Wells, Devon
"I can't tell you how much I want one of your Gypsy houses, they are gorgeous!" ... ... Chloe & Mark |
Day Three - Cameras everywhere Another very hot day, a little time for a break for the girls to take photographs, watch the sheep shearing and the Wurzels of course, but there were so many people taking photographs of the Gypsy Hen Houses we are sure they will show up all over the place!
The television cameras came along took a few shots, and the stand was shown on the local news, and so did several newspapers. The Western Daily Press used a photograph of the Gypsy in their report on the Show. |
Day Four - the last day Exhausted but unbowed, Lizzy prepares for the coming day ... ...
Saturday was certainly the busiest of the Show, a lovely sunny day and the stand was very active from the moment the gates opened. It seemed as though everyone had the day off and came to visit the Show.
Several visitors said their friends had told them about the houses, particularly the Gypsy, and they came along to see them - which was a lovely compliment indeed.
We really must thank everyone who came to see us for the lovely things they said about Flyte so Fancy, and also thank Linda particularly for the long days she put in at the Show with Phillip (she really enjoyed meeting so many people but is glad to be back to the office for a rest!).
Jessica and Lizzy (our daughters) also did a fantastic job at the sales counter, tooks lots of orders (and spent lots of money on their breaks naturally) - a big thank you. |
