Pyrethrin is a natural insecticide, derived from the Chrysanthemum flower (Pyrethrum). It has been used to control crawling and flying pests for over a century and is generally considered quite safe. Pyrethrin is frequently used in garden insecticides.
Pyrethrin should not be confused with Permethrin (used here in Poultry Natural Fumer) which is a synthetic version of this insecticide and therefore has better residual properties. The natural and artificial substances, though similar, have different properties and important differences in their level of safety, especially around pets such as cats. Please read the label.
