The ultimate luxury - a fleece-lined Poultry Saddle! Saddle is as medium Brown Canvas Saddle and then the added brown fleece lining. Just that extra warmth for birds who have few feathers during really frosty, cold days - they always seem to moult when it is cold don't they!

These Butterfly Saddles from Chicken Breeder (see photo at bottom of page), are the perfect way to save damage to your hens when the normal saddles just don't do the job. Sometimes the cockerel can be very damaging and manages to tear their wing tops as well.

These saddles come with an extra arm to protect the hens wing, and this is held in place with a strip of velcro which makes it adjustable for each bird.

High quality, hand-made here in Dorset, hard-wearing canvas protection saddles for Chickens. Made to protect the back and skin of the hen when being mated by the Cockerel. The Cockerel can seriously damage the hen when his spurs and claws dig into her back as he 'treads' her.

These protective saddles will help her through the mating process without the damage to skin and feathers that is so often incurred. If area to be protected is particularly sore then an application of Aloe Vera Gel is highly recommended to sooth the abrasions before attaching the saddle (see below). Washable with care.
