HempBed-E is a new chopped hemp bedding for poultry available exclusively from Flyte so Fancy, grown and produced in The Netherlands.


HempBed-E Poultry Bedding in 15kg bale. Chopped hemp is a natural, dust-free, quick to compost, sustainable, eco-friendly product. It has odour eating properties, is highly absorbent and, with HempBed-E, has an added boost - Eucalyptus pellets have been added to the mix and offer a natural way of freshening up your hen house. Eucalyptus is well known as a mild decongestant, which can also kill air-borne germs in winter, is anti-bacterial, and much of our research points to its anti-mite properties as well.

Hemp Bedding absorbs up to 12 times more liquid than straw and 4 times more than shavings. It is used widely as bedding for horses because of its great absobancy and natural fly repellant qualities

Hemp Bedding makes cleaning so much easier, less frequently needed so goes further, and leaves the chicken coop smelling fresh.

Please note: You may notice that HempBed-E has a slightly green tinge to it - this is quite normal as it is the small eucalyptus pellets that give it a green hue.

HempBed-E cannot be used for Guinea Pigs or other Cavies as Eucalyptus is toxic to them.

Aubiose Hemp Bedding is derived from the soft centre of the hemp plant. Aubiose is cultivated without pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or insecticides. Aubiose absorbs up to 12 times more liquid than straw and 4 times more than shavings. It is used widely as bedding for horses because of its great absobancy and natural fly repellant qualities. Also great for rabbits and guinea pigs.

Aubiose has a spongy texture, which traps odours and is unattractive to flies and parasites. Aubiose comes in heavy-duty plastic bags. Aubiose quickly decomposes in to a highly organic fertiliser and is ideal for gardeners, nurseries, fields and mushroom growing. A completely sustainable resource. Use as you would woodshaving and you will find this last much longer and will contain the ammonia smell that hens produce.

4kg bale of Chippets, compacted, woodshavings (woodflake) for bedding/litter in henhouses or rabbit hutches.

Cozy Coop Poultry Bedding is produced in Devon from recycled timber.

Sack of 50 litres (approx 10kg). This size would probably last a 1m square henhouse 1-2 months.

Being 100% recycled, the wood has a lower moisture content than freshly cut timber, (typically 12 - 15%). This leads to a greatly reduced occurrence of moulds, spores and mites - meaning a healthier, happier flock.

You will notice less topping-up is needed when you use Cozy Coop. With Cozy Coop your birds will be warm, dry and more active. Used litter makes an excellent fertilizer / composting material.
