Full Description: Valerian (Valeriana officinalis):Many studies have shown Valerian to be a powerful, nonaddictive and anti-spasmodic nerve relaxant, sedative, and pain reliever. Its actions are due to its calming and balancing effect on the central nervous system. Traditionally used for all states of nervous anxiety and irritability, agitation and hysteria, tension migraines and insomnia.

Skullcap (Scutellaria laterifolia):A good relaxing herb, known to exert a tonic effect on the nervous system. A wonderful non-addictive remedy, traditionally used for nervous tension, anxiety, hysteria, agitation, insomnia, muscle cramps and spasm and tension headaches.

Oats (Avena sativa): A gentle calming herb with a special affinity with the nervous system. In combination with Valerian the synergy is special, each herb enhancing the action of the other.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata): A wonderful herb traditionally used for insomnia, anxiety and irritability, its non-addictive calming effect is due to its action on the central nervous system.

+ At times of stress the body uses vitamins and minerals at a high rate, in particular B vitamins. Supplementing the diet with a specially designed animal multi-vitamin and multi-mineral complex can be beneficial. Brewers yeast is high in B vitamins and can be sprinkled on to food.
+ Extra vitamin C is always beneficial.
+ Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) have been shown to be useful in the treatment of anxiety and stress.

Direction: 2-5 drops directly into affected ear, 2-3 times daily. As a prophylactic, use 1-2 drops around the opening to the ear 2-3 times per week.

Description: Cats Claw (Uncaria tomentosa): A South American herb with claw-like barbs which allow the plant to climb. Shown to exert a potent anti-inflammatory effect, making it particularly useful in all joint and muscle pain.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Although famous for being one of the main ingredients of curry powder, Turmeric has a long history as a medicinal herb in Chinese and Indian medicine. Science has borne out its traditional use as an anti–inflammatory. The anti-inflammatory effect of Turmeric is mainly due to its major constituent, curcumin. Curcumin is a volatile oil which has been shown to exert an anti-inflammatory effect equal to cortisone and phenylbutazone, with none of the toxicity problems associated with these pharmaceutical drugs.

Boswellia (Boswellia serrata).Also known as Indian Frankincense. Research suggests that the potent antiinflammatory effect of Boswellia is more effective than phenylbutazone. Boswellia also improves blood supply to arthritic joints, thus effecting better and faster repair of damaged areas.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis): Calendula has been shown to exert a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, astringent and antiseptic action. One the herbalists most used remedies. Traditionally used for all inflammatory and infected conditions.

+ Glucosamine Sulphate, an amino sugar which is one of the building blocks of cartilage.
+ Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) exert a natural mild anti-inflammatory effect. They are also useful in removing toxins from the body.
+ Large doses of vitamin C, 500-3000mg per day, Ester C being the preferred form.
+ A teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per pint of drinking water.
+ Vitamin B complex.

Glucosamine for joint repair & support. Available in 30 Capsules

Indications: Arthritis, tendon/ligament damage, any connective tissue damage.

Description: An amino sugar formed from glucose and the amino acid glutamine. Normally made by the digestive process, Glucosamine Sulphate is fundamental in all connective tissue manufacture. Connective tissue or collagen is rich in protoglycans, which are made up of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and protein. Glucosamine Sulphate is the main precursor in GAG production.

It appears that as some animals age, like humans, they do not manufacture enough GAG, one of the major causes of osteoarthritis. Supplementation with orally administered Glucosamine Sulphate has been shown to be very beneficial in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

+ High doses of non acidic vitamin C (500-3000mg per day in split doses). Vitamin C is essential to cartilage repair and manufacture.
+ B vitamins, especially Pantothenic Acid (B5) and Niacinamide (B3)
+ S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) is formed in the body by the amino acid methionine and adenosyl-triphosphate (ATP). SAM has been shown to be, like Glucosamine, essential to cartilage formation and joint integrity.
+ Herbs: Boswellia, Cats Claw, Turmeric etc. have been shown to exert a notable anti-inflammatory effect upon athritic joints, easing pain while Glucosamin starts to repair the joint.

Full Description: German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla): A gentle calming herb with a special affinity to the digestive tract. A specific remedy for all kinds of digestive upsets from colic through to nervous indigestion and nausea.

Marsh Mallow (Althea officinalis): A traditional remedy for all digestive problems. Due to its mucilaginous properties, Marsh Mallow is soothing to the whole digestive tract.

Fenugreek (Trigonella Foenum graec): A soothing demulcent, useful in all digestive upsets. Traditionally used for dysentery and nausea.

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis): A wonderful, gentle calmer, useful in any nervous disorder, especially anxiety.

Hops (Humulus lupus): A good calming herb, useful in all states of anxiety and tension. Because of its anti-spasmodic action, Hops exerts a calming effect on the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, thus making it ideal for nervous indigestion etc.

Balm (Melissa officinalis): Used traditionally for anxiety and all nervous disorders. Its actions are carminative (settles the digestive system, relieves flatulence), anti-spasmodic and sedative. In combination with Chamomile and Hops it makes a traditional remedy for dyspepsia

Ginger (Zingiber officinalis): A traditional remedy for all types of nausea. The actions of Ginger are carminative, antispasmodic, anti– inflammatory, and diaphoretic..

A combination of herbs traditionally used for parasitic infestations. Available in 30ml bottle.

Indications: Nematode (Round Worms), Cestode (Tape Worms) and Tremenatoda (Flukes) infestation.

Full Description: Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium): A traditional remedy for all intestinal parasites.

Walnut (Juglans nigra): Good liver herb used traditionally for parasitic infestation.

Garlic (Allium sativum): Good cleanser with a history of use in parasitic infestations.

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum): Soothing on the stomach with anti-worm actions.

Quassia (Picrasma excelsa): Specific internal remedy for worms. Externaly a well known repelant for fleas and insects. Traditionally used as a wash for scabies.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris): Traditional remedy for hook worms and round worms in children.

Clove (Syzygium aromaticum): Traditionally used for intestinal parasites.

Cayenne (Capsicum minimum): Enhances the actions of any herb it is put with. Increases blood flow to every organ in the body.

+ Powdered Pumpkin seeds added to food have been shown to be a good preventative and cure for parasitic infestation.
+ A pinch of cayenne pepper in food can be useful if you can get your pet to eat it!.
+ A good multi–vitamin/multi-mineral complex can be useful. Parasitic infestation can lead to a lack of nutrition. Competition in the gut for available nutrients can upset intestinal flora, which can lead to food not being properly used.
+ Cider vinegar, a teaspoon per pint of drinking water.
+ One or two grated carrots added to food can be useful. Carrots are known to be an anthelmintic (a substance that causes the elimination of intestinal parasites).
+ Homoeopathically many remedies are available for treating intestinal parasites. However we would suggest that you seek professional advice on these, as they are not readily available in suggested strengths and tend to be for specific infestations.

N.B. Due to the gentle nature of this combination it has been used on puppies, kittens and birds. The combination has also been used as a prophylactic, given once per week, fortnight or month. To eliminate intestinal parasites already present we suggest using over a three to four day period and repeat as necessary.
