Stop those annoying water drips with Hydrosol Crackseal, the seal with capilliary action. Developed for use in the marine world, this sealer really is made for the toughest of jobs.

Seals cracks and gaps in wood and plastic. Ideal for leaks in aged henhouse roofs and splitting timbers or just the fine hairline cracks you can get in all timbers. Timber often has a will of its own and even if you are diligent in your choice it may still decide to split due to sharp changes in temperature and movement through the seasons.

Crackseal is unaffected by damp or dust simply allow to flow into the crack. If used in conjunction with Burgess Woodsealer (below) always treat cracks with woodsealer first, then apply cracksealer.

We include Burgess Marine Hydrosol Clearsealer among our products for use on the timber roofs of our henhouses. This is a very high quality sealer which is ideal for use on pressure treated timber and is used throughout the marine industry. It dries clear and a little goes a long way. Clearsealer gives a tough micro-porous surface that will not break down and bleach out.

It will protect the timber throughout the natural movements that occur with wood, and help to maintain the waterproof qualities of the roof of your henhouse over the years.

We recommend the application of Clearsealer to your henhouse before the winter season. Burgess Marine Hydrosol Clearsealer, although marked as an internal treatment is the correct product to use externally on your henhouse as it contains no pigment but will give full weather protection.

1 litre. Clearsealer is non-toxic, non-flammable and non-volatile. Unlikely to irritate skin, just wash well with soap and water.

If you want to make your own customised poultry run then we can certainly recommend this weldmesh. It is what we use on all our runs and protection pens at Flyte so Fancy, far superior to 'chicken wire' which we know from experience a fox can chew through, or climb over it.

Pair of fixed axle wheels suitable for our Hobby Henhouse, Handy 10 Henhouse; Maggie's Half Dozen or Maggie's Dozen Henhouses.

As it is fixed axle it is not suitable for houses with fixed runs e.g. Cottage or Haven.

The wheels are solid plastic centre with wide 4" rubber tyres, so that they don't get stuck in the ground.

A simple solution to prevent Foxes and Badgers digging under your Poultry Run.

The No Dig Skirt is 10 inch wide strips of 2" x 2" strong weldmesh ready to lay on the ground under the edges of your run and held in place with galvanised pegs.

This small no-dig skirt would suit a run with a total footprint length of 15' - 17' e.g. our Cottage Henhouse (approx. 4'x 4') or 6-9ft Run for Hobby Henhouse. Select this skirt also for the Haven Henhouse. If your run is non-Flyte so Fancy then just tell us the length by width and we will make the skirt accordingly.

There are the occasions when you may be away for the weekend, or on holiday and friends are in charge. This is an inexpensive way to give you the reassurance that the hens will be safe. The fox will instinctively want to dig right next to the base of the run and will not normally attempt to dig from several inches away.

Simply place the 10 inch wide strips of weldmesh on the ground around the outside of your run and peg in place. The mesh should be positioned so that the edge of the mesh is held under the base of the run (see photo) and then pegged down to hold in place (metal pegs included).

No-Dig Skirts are also available for larger runs up to 9' x 15' and for over 9' x 15' - again though if they are not Flyte so Fancy made, then just tell us the size you require.

A large bag of hardwood Woodchips (made for playgrounds) for use as a surface in poultry runs (or on the flowerbeds too!).

The chickens love it; it keeps them clean, gives them something to scratch in all day long, washes through with the rain and only needs changing perhaps once or twice a year.

So if you have a fixed run and they are down to bare earth, sprinkle a good layer of this in the run and you will have happy hens!
