At last - A Solar Powered Electric Fence Energiser at a reasonable price! The Helios P80S Solar Electric Fence Energiser is a 12v energiser which will use the sun to charge an internal 35 Amp/hr battery (included) through the solar panel. This 35 Amp/hr battery can provide approx 16 days operation with no sunlight and so makes this one of the most efficient (and certainly most suitable to UK climate) Solar Energisers on the market today.

When the energiser is turned on, the efficiency at which the solar panel replaces the battery charge will vary depending on the duration of available sunlight - always install with the solar panel facing in a southerly direction. During our summer months there should be no problem keeping the battery fully charged. Turning it off when possible and allowing the solar panel to charge the battery will always help of course.

During winter months, in certain parts of the UK, the battery may require independent charging from time to time with a car battery charger, or as mentioned above, turning the energiser off when possible will allow the solar panel to recharge the battery.
