Hotline Falcon Solar P500S Energiser

The Falcon P500S is the Solar version of the popular, all purpose Falcon P500 from Hotline.

A high powered fencer suitable for all farm and smallholding uses. The Falcon houses an internal 12v battery (inc.) 12 Amp/hr capacity, which is charged by the 10w solar panel but also needs a 12v external battery to operate. The solar panel will charge the external and internal batteries and then use the internal battery when necessay.

This unit has a Stored Joules capacity of 1.7 joules so can easily power up to 4 poultry nets, or 15 sheep nets, or 18km of single line fence.

When used with an external 12v battery, the 10w solar panel will utilise all available light to cycle charge both the external and internal batteries. Low battery indicator light. On/off switch.

The energiser automatically switches between internal and external power sources and as such, is one of the most self-sufficient solar systems on the market.

There is a 2 year warranty on all Hotline energisers.

This 85 amp/hr, re-chargeable 12v Leisure Battery comes with a built-in charge level indicator and carry handle. It also has double terminals so it can take a trickle charge whilst being used. Heavt Duty battery for leisure and marine use.

For use with any 12v Electric Fence Battery Energiser e.g. Hotline Hobby Energiser, Hotline Gemini, Gallagher BatteryMaster, Wolseley Midge etc.

We always recommend the use of leisure-type batteries with electric fencing. They are designed to be discharged and then re-charged whereas car batteries are not. This battery should have a life of 200 cycles so will last quite a number of years.

Although a charge will last approx 6 weeks we do recommend that they are recharged every 2 weeks or so to keep the battery in best condition. This battery has a depth of discharge of 70% and we have found that if allowed to discharge fully it could damage the plates and it will be very hard to get it to take a full charge properly again. Also, we do recommend with this battery that at least a 7 amp battery charger be used if possible.
