Haven Hen Houses

The Haven Hen House is a wonderfully compact unit suitable for up to 6 medium hens or 4 larger fowl with a walk-in run, loads of space all round and is light and airy outside, plenty of headroom inside the house even for a cockerel.

It is proving to be a very popular henhouse design and customers particularly love how easy it is to clean.

This unit has a choice of either the six foot long run (seen here) if you are just keeping six hens in occasionally for safety, or a 9ft long run if your plans are to keep them in the run more permanently. If you only have four or less hens then either run would be suitable on a permanent basis.

A long ladder gives access to the pop-hole which is operated from outside the unit. It has removable perches and internal nest boxes. The access door at the back drops down to make egg collecting and cleaning just so easy.

We normally put our heart-shaped perspex window in one side - not compulsory; just cute - but let us know if you don't want this. The Haven Henhouse comes flatpacked, with full instructions, and is available as a six foot run version (incl. under the house) or a nine foot run version. VSB Door opener: For this house you would need the external VSBb, 4 small pulleys and we would make a special sliding door to fit which is the same price as the lightweight doors in the 'VSB section'.

The complete Automatic Pop-hole Door kit to add to your Haven Henhouse. This includes an external VSBb unit, 4 small pulleys and a special lightweight vertical sliding door to fit the Haven Henhouse. This door will replace the normal one which slides from side to side.

If ordered at the same time as the henhouse we will obviously fit it for you, or if you already have the Haven Henhouse, it will come with instructions for fitting and replacing the door with the new lightweight up-and-down one.

A simple solution to prevent Foxes and Badgers digging under your Poultry Run.

The No Dig Skirt is 10 inch wide strips of 2" x 2" strong weldmesh ready to lay on the ground under the edges of your run and they are held in place with galvanised pegs (supplied with the skirt).

This small no-dig skirt would suit a run with a total footprint length of up to 20ft e.g. our Cottage Henhouse (approx. 4'x 4') or the 6ft and 9ft Runs for the Hobby Henhouse. Select this skirt also for the Haven Henhouse with 6ft run. If your run is non-Flyte so Fancy then just tell us the length by width and we will make the skirt accordingly.

There are the occasions when you may be away for the weekend, or on holiday and friends are in charge. This is an inexpensive way to give you the reassurance that the hens will be safe. The fox will instinctively want to dig right next to the base of the run and will not normally attempt to dig from several inches away.

Simply place the 10 inch wide strips of weldmesh on the ground around the outside of your run and peg in place. The mesh should be positioned so that the edge of the mesh is held under the base of the run (see photo) and then pegged down to hold in place (metal pegs included).

No-Dig Skirts are also available for larger runs up to 9' x 15' and for over 9' x 15' - again though if they are not Flyte so Fancy made, then just tell us the size you require.

A spare or extra double nest box for the Haven Henhouse. The Haven comes with one as standard but we often get asked for spare boxes so thought we should add them as a separate option to add to your order.
