50m Electrified 'Super' Rabbit Netting

50m roll x 75cm high (approx 160ft) of Green Moulded Rabbit Netting from Hotline. Super Rabbit Net is 75cm high (29 in) and includes14 black flexi-posts.

Easy to install, cheap to run and will blend into the garden to be visually unobtrusive. Great for short runs along one side of a garden, around ponds or to protect special parts of the garden. Will act as an effective barrier to rabbits, badgers and other small predators that can attack and disturb your garden.

This 50m rabbit net can be run off a 3v battery energiser e.g. Hotline Shrike, but vegetation should be kept in check to prevent shorting, or can be run from a 6v energiser e.g. Horizont Hobbyguard; a 9v battery energiser e.g. Hotline Centaur. If mains electric is accessible it is often more economic to take this option and the Gallagher HobbyMaster would be a good choice here.

Super Rabbit Netting has 8 horizontal strands, mesh size is approx 7.6cm wide x 6.3cm for at the base up to 10.8cm at the top.

This kit includes a 50m roll of green rabbit netting standing 70cm (27in) high. This flexible electric netting has a 3-4" (approx) square mesh size and is very effective against Rabbits and Badgers. The horizontal strands are electrified, except the bottom black strand, which is not live to avoid shorting out on vegetation. More black flexi-posts are available separately if you think it may be necessary to add them to keep the net taut.

The Shrike Energiser is a low powered 3v energiser that is small and compact, easy to move and runs on two D cell batteries. A more powerful 9v/12v energiser would be needed for longer lengths of netting e.g. Gallagher PaddockMaster with a 9v disposable Battery (which would last several months).

When deterring rabbits the net is best erected at a 45 degree angle facing the hedgerow/fence so that the ears of the rabbit touch the net before it can get close enough to burrow underneath. The shock the animal receives will not harm it at all but it will learn to keep away from the fence.
