400m Horse Electric Fence Kit - Dual Power

Our 400m Horse Electric Fence Kit includes the Hotline Gemini 40 Dual Power Energiser to make a two-line 200m fence or single line 400m fence with 20 x 1.4m high Plastic tread-in Posts. This horse kit has the option of either white posts and white tape or green posts and green tape (select colour from drop down box above).

The Gemini 40 is a dual power energiser so if your needs change, or you may want at times to use both kinds of power, you can use this energiser with a 12v battery. It is a compact unit which uses just 1 watt and can power up to 4km of fence. This kit comes with the lead-out cable and clips to make a mains powered system, or for a 12v battery system just add a 12v battery from the link below.

To make life easy we have included a Reel for the tape which can be hung on the fence, two Gate Handles and Anchors and two End/Corner Insulators. You can add more electro-tape and plastic posts to the kit if you wish to make it longer (see Related Product links below), or, perhaps consider a Low Voltage Fence Alert or Pocket Fence Tester to add to the kit.

This 85 amp/hr, re-chargeable 12v Leisure Battery comes with a built-in charge level indicator and carry handle. It also has double terminals so it can take a trickle charge whilst being used. Heavt Duty battery for leisure and marine use.

For use with any 12v Electric Fence Battery Energiser e.g. Hotline Hobby Energiser, Hotline Gemini, Gallagher BatteryMaster, Wolseley Midge etc.

We always recommend the use of leisure-type batteries with electric fencing. They are designed to be discharged and then re-charged whereas car batteries are not. This battery should have a life of 200 cycles so will last quite a number of years.

Although a charge will last approx 6 weeks we do recommend that they are recharged every 2 weeks or so to keep the battery in best condition. This battery has a depth of discharge of 70% and we have found that if allowed to discharge fully it could damage the plates and it will be very hard to get it to take a full charge properly again. Also, we do recommend with this battery that at least a 7 amp battery charger be used if possible.
