Deer Electric Fencing Kits

Protection for your flowers and vegetables, or whole garden, from devastation by Deer intrusion.

This kit will give you a semi-permanent, 150m (approx 165yds) length of fence up to height of 1.5m (5') around the intrusion sector, or your whole garden.


The kit includes 20 rigid white poly stirrup posts (if green posts are preferrred just let us know) with 3 lines of white 6-strand polywire and 2 lines of white 20mm Turbo Electroc-Tape (white for visibility) and is powered by an Osprey 12v Battery Energiser which can be mounted on a post or wall. More posts, tape or wire can easily be added to make a longer fence.

The 20mm wide white turbo electro-tape is included to make sure the deer can see the fence and not accidentally run into it. One strand of tape should be placed at about 1m high and then the other strands of polywire and tape alternate with this.

The battery energiser has an output of over 4000v (under heavy load), which is necessary for deer as they can be particularly resistant to electric shock and therefore need a high-powered fence.

This version of the kit does not include the 12v Leisure Battery needed to power the energiser, but this can be purchased separately by following the link below to purchase from this site and add to your order or, locally from a caravan shop or Halfords.

Here is a mains kit to construct a semi-permanent, 150m (approx 165yds) length of fence up to height of 1.5m (5') around the intrusion sector, or your whole garden.

The kit includes 20 rigid white poly stirrup posts (if green posts are preferred just let us know) with three lines of white 6-strand polywire and two strands of 20mm wide White Electro-Tape (white for visibility) and is powered by an HLM200 mains energiser which is quite powerful.

The 20mm wide white turbo electro-tape is to make sure the deer can see the fence and not accidentally run into it. One strand of tape should be placed at about 1m high and the other strands of wire and tape alternate from that.

The energiser has an output of over 4000v (under heavy load), which is necessary for Deer, being hooved animals, as they can be particularly resistant to electric shock and therefore need a high-powered fence. Deer tend to 'measure' a fence before they jump and may touch it with their nose. This type of animal cannot judge three dimensionally and must measure first.
