Flyte So Fancy is a family run company based in rural Dorset in the village of Pulham about halfway between Dorchester and Sturminster Newton, and 8 miles from Sherborne. Our shop is open 8am - 5.30pm Tues to Sat, or, contact us on 01300 345229 8am - 6pm Mon to Sat.
We (Phillip and Anne Weymouth) wanted to specialise in making handbuilt, high quality Poultry and Animal Houses that are as eco-friendly and 'organic' as possible so we opened Flyte so Fancy in our workshop 'at the bottom of the garden'. We now have a small but wonderful crew (proud to say that all of them were born in Dorset - except Jenny) - Mark, Sam, Debbie, Richard, Rich, Stuart, Jenny, Uilliam (yes that is how you spell it), Daryll, Andrew, John & Caroline - who make it all possible.
Photo right is the crew behaving nicely - photo below is what happened at first when I asked the chaps to stand nicely for a photograph! Hopeless!
Display Area & Shop
We have a display area beside the workshop for customers to view our full range of Poultry Housing, Duck Houses, Kennels, Goose Houses etc, and a shop with stock of all kinds of poultry supplies, and, electric fencing equipment from Gallagher, Hotline and Horizont.
Some houses are available from stock to 'take away' but please call first to check availability. Opening times above.
Our housing can only be bought through us, we do not use agents.
Quality
We use our knowledge of design and love of wood, plus our long experience of Poultry keeping, to produce beautifully crafted Hen Houses finished to a high standard. All the houses on this website have been designed and developed by Phillip and Anne and are unique in their structure and build quality. We found a big demand for 'really nice' Hen Houses and Kennels and customers know they will get something that not only looks good, is handmade here in Dorset by people from Dorset, but will also last for many, many years.
Flyte so Fancy Ltd has been awarded membership of The Guild of Master Craftsmen. Membership was granted by The Guild's Council of Management in recognition of the company's commitment to work with skill and integrity, and its agreement to abide by The Guild's publicly declared aims and objectives.
